ACCREDITATIONS

Gold Souk DMCC holds an LBMA (London Bullion Market Association) associate membership in the refiner category. LBMA is the pre-eminent standard-setting body for the global wholesale market for precious metals. As a member, we are committed to having an effective governance framework that ensures accountability and oversight of our business operations.

In line with our ambitious drive to promote international standards for local and regional trades, Gold Souk helped develop the Doha Good Delivery standard. This standard is specifically designed for gold bars below a kilo and purity of 995 or higher. The creation of this standard has improved the tradability and distribution of small gold bars and enhanced the reputation of approved refineries. By ultimately increasing confidence in the quality of gold bars for the local and international markets, this system will in turn create extra trade finance activities.

Gold Souk is an accredited Qatar Good Delivery gold and silver refinery, so our bars are accepted and approved at the clearing house of the Doha Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX). Our bars are also accepted in the Multi-Commodities Exchange (MCX) in India.

Approved bars also meet delivery requirements for the Doha Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX), thus easing the process for market participants. The qualifying criteria are designed to ensure the sustainability of the refinery’s operations with a specified volume of production and minimum tangible net worth, along with appropriate KYC (Know Your Client) procedures.

In addition, Gold Souk complies with stringent international standards and achieved a number of ISO certifications issued by the reputed Swiss Certification Body QS Zürich AG accredited by SAS Switzerland. In 2020 we have updated our certifications to the new 2018 ISO 45001 and ISO 10002 standards, and we now hold ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environment), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety), ISO 10002:2018 (Customer Satisfaction), and ISO 17025:2017 (Accredited Laboratory)

We are also proud members of the World Logistics Passports.
